The roots of Mimea Herb trace back to 2013, when our family’s wellness journey began unexpectedly. My son had just started school, and we noticed a pattern: he was constantly getting sick during the school year, yet perfectly healthy during the summer. Living in Houston, where winter feels like spring, we knew the weather wasn’t the culprit.

We took a closer look at his daily routine and made a simple change—no more school lunches. Instead, he packed meals from home so we could control what he ate. The difference was immediate. His daily complaints of feeling unwell disappeared. Encouraged, we took a bigger step and removed meat and processed foods from his diet altogether. The transformation was remarkable. For years, he didn’t experience so much as a runny nose.

Around the same time, one of our founders was facing her own struggle—finding hair products that actually worked. Everything on the market came with a trade-off. One product moisturized but left flakes. Another created buildup that attracted dirt. Many left our hair heavy, itchy, or simply unmanageable.
